Attorney Information

Biography

Jane has been with Wise Carter since 1999, except for an interlude as a part-time solo practitioner while raising her three children. Her practice focuses on the needs of her clients, whether public bodies, financial institutions, professional or commercial business entities or individuals.

She has extensive experience in transactional matters, including contract negotiation and drafting, commercial and tax-exempt loan transactions, business entity formation and workouts, organization and conduct of nonprofit corporations, and tax and real estate matters. She has represented creditors successfully in bankruptcy matters and debt collection efforts.

Jane was named 2014 Todd Migues Volunteer of the Year by Biloxi Youth Baseball, Inc. in appreciation of Wise Carter’s donation of her time to reorganize its corporation and obtain recognition of its tax-exempt status. Jane is also an active member (and past president) of Biloxi’s Cleophan Club, past board member of La Bonne Terre Homeowners’ Association, and a member of Biloxi Chapter A of P.E.O., the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum, and Handsboro Presbyterian Church.
