The Mississippi Law Journal hosted a symposium on the Voting Rights Act on Thursday and Friday, April 7th and 8th, 2016, at the University of Mississippi School of Law. Wise Carter attorneys James L. Robertson and Michael B. Wallace participated in Friday’s panel discussion entitled, “In Order to Form a More Perfect Union.”

The Voting Rights Act Symposium focused on the current status of voting rights in the United States, as seen through the perspective of the Southeast region and more specifically Mississippi. The Honorable Delbert Hosemann, Mississippi Secretary of State, provided the keynote address and The Honorable Dawn Beam, Justice on the Mississippi Supreme Court, delivered an ethics presentation.
