Wise Carter attorney Charlie Russell served as lead trial counsel for Illinois Central Railroad Company in this Federal Employers Liability Act matter tried in the Circuit Court Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.

The Plaintiff alleged he developed bi-lateral Carpal Tunnel Syndrome while working as an Illinois Central track laborer as the result of unsafe work activities, tools and equipment. Illinois Central contended that it provided the Plaintiff with a reasonably safe work place and that Plaintiff’s work activities for Illinois Central did not cause Plaintiff’s alleged injury.

The trial lasted 13 days. At the close of the case, the jury returned a unanimous defense verdict in favor of Illinois Central.
