Water Rights & Boundaries
Our attorneys have vast experience in litigation and law related to public and navigable waterways, water boundaries, accretions, avulsions and relictions. Our experience includes riparian and littoral rights, the regulation and use of Public Tidelands Trust, title questions and boundary determinations. We have prosecuted and defended these types of matters in federal and state contexts, involving environmental protection laws, marine resources and water quality laws and regulations. While serving on the Supreme Court of Mississippi, one of our attorneys authored the opinions of the Court in important tidelands and water rights cases, including Cinque Bambini Partnership v. State, 491 So.2d 508 (Miss. 1986), aff’d sub nom., Phillips Petroleum Company v. Mississippi, 484 U. S. 469 (1988); Dycus v. Sillers, 557 So.2d 486 (Miss. 1990); and Ryals v. Pigott, 580 So.2d 1140 (Miss. 1991).
