Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Attorneys in the firm have extensive experience in representation of nuclear plant owners and operators before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and working with the NRC staff on a wide-variety of licensing matters and enforcement actions and investigations. Lawyers in the firm have prepared and filed applications for changes in operations and ownership of nuclear plants and have an in-depth knowledge of transactions, such as plant decommissioning, management and service contracts that do not require NRC license amendments.

Lawyers at Wise Carter also have provided assessments of plant regulatory cultures for nuclear plants located throughout the eastern part of the United States and regularly defend nuclear plant owners in whistle blower litigation filed under Section 211 of the Energy Reorganization Act of 1974, as amended.
