Indian Law
The firm represents the
Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, a tribe recognized by the Secretary
of Interior pursuant to Section 16 of the Indian Reorganization Act,
in a wide variety of commercial and litigation matters. This representation
has provided the firm with the opportunity to work with Tribal leaders
and state and local governments, as well as businesses desiring to
enter into commercial relationships with the Tribe, in dealing with
sovereign immunity, and other legal issues particular to Indian tribes.
