Paul
Barnes is a shareholder who joined the firm's Jackson office in
1998. He practices in the areas of medical malpractice defense,
complex commercial litigation, intellectual property, mass tort
defense, and railroad litigation.
Paul obtained both his undergraduate degree (B.M. Ed, 1990) and
legal education (J.D., 1998, summa cum laude) at the
University of Mississippi, where he was Mississippi Cases Editor
of the Mississippi Law Journal and a member of Delta Theta Phi
honorary. He was also the recipient of numerous awards including
the Dean Robert J. Farley Award, the Steen Reynolds and Dalehite
National Trial Competition Award, the Heidelberg and Woodliff
Oral Advocacy Competition Award, the Robert P. Upchurch Award
and the William Waller Criminal Law Award. Paul was admitted to
the Mississippi Bar in 1998.
Paul
is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar
Association, and the Federal Bar Association, and is an Associate
of the Charles Clark Inn, American Inns of Court. |
