ABOUT Linda F. Cooper

Ms. Cooper focuses her practice in the areas of general liability and litigation, including complex litigation, at the trial and appellate levels. She also has experience representing clients before the state's administrative agencies. In addition, Ms. Cooper has experience serving client needs in the areas of Indian Law, insurance coverage, and professional negligence. She has represented clients as diverse as a South American nation in an international arbitration dispute and a national human rights organization in defense of a defamation claim. Linda has also litigated disputes arising under the Mississippi Consumer Protection Act and the Mississippi Antitrust Act. Ms. Cooper is a 2008 graduate of the Mississippi College School of Law, where she received her juris doctor degree, summa cum laude, and received a Best Brief award at the regional round of the National Moot Court competition. Ms. Cooper is a 1993 graduate of Yale University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, cum laude. She is also a 1995 alumna of Mississippi Teacher Corps. After teaching high school English and before going to law school, Ms. Cooper served as a capital campaign manager and development director for multiple arts and educational organizations.
