Gene Naylor maintains a general litigation practice with emphasis in the representation of healthcare providers in the defense of medical malpractice litigation, and complex litigation involving products and premises liability, pharmaceutical, insurance, business and contract matters. His health law practice includes work with hospital administration on patient, billing and medical staff issues and health information management. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi (B.S. 1982) and law degree from Cumberland School of Law (J.D. 1985) and was law clerk for the presiding judge in the 8th Judicial Circuit of Alabama. He is frequently requested to speak on the subjects of risk management, physician and nursing practice, health information management, and governmental regulations affecting healthcare providers. Mr. Naylor serves on the board of the Mississippi Hospital Association Society for Health Care Risk Management and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and is admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Capital Area Bar Association, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association and Defense Research Institute.
