Mr.
Naylor joined the firm's Jackson office in 2000 and is a shareholder
and a member of the Board of Directors of Wise Carter Child &
Caraway. He practices in the area of civil litigation including
medical malpractice, premises and product liability, business
and insurance disputes and general healthcare law. Mr. Naylor's
healthcare practice includes hospital administration, medical
staff issues, health information management and the representation
of hospitals and physicians in the defense of medical malpractice
litigation. He has extensive experience in complex litigation
including mass tort and multi-district litigation involving pharmaceutical
products, medical devices, insurance and not-for-profit litigation.
Mr.
Naylor received his undergraduate degree from the University of
Southern Mississippi (B.S. 1982) and law degree from Cumberland
School of Law (J.D. 1985) and was law clerk for the presiding
circuit judge, 8th Judicial Circuit, Alabama. He is a frequent
speaker on the subjects of risk management, physician and nursing
practice, health information management, including addresses to
membership of the American and Mississippi Health Information
Management Associations, Mississippi Hospital Association Society
for Healthcare Risk Management, Alabama Society of Neonatologists
and seminars as a faculty member. He has served on the board of
the Mississippi Hospital Association Society for Healthcare Risk
Management and is a member of the Mississippi Bar, the American,
Federal and Hinds County Bar Associations, American Health Lawyers
Association, and Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.
Mr. Naylor has also been selected for inclusion in Mid-South SUPER
LAWYERS for 2006 in the area of Personal Injury Defense.
